Letter to the King

A group sets out from a refugee centre for Oslo. There are several of them. Each has business of their own. One young man is about to be deported. He goes to his former employers for money he is owed. It was a wage paid by hand. Another, trained in martial arts, is looking for work. A young woman is dealing with her past. What she is after is a reckoning. There is an old man called Mirza. He is writing a letter. The letter is addressed to the king. What he asks for is one last wish. The film sets these paths side by side. Refugees are often seen as one crowd, and the film shows them one by one. Zheer Durhan and Nazmi Kırık appear in the seventy five minute film, a Norwegian and Emirati production Hisham Zaman finished in 2014.
