Robert is a man shut up in his house who works with sound. One day he realises that certain frequencies can hypnotise people. He starts with small experiments: he invites the couple next door over and makes them do what he wants. Then the requests get bigger. As the power in his hands grows there is no such thing as a limit any more, and the experiment stops being personal. Antonio Tublén's Swedish film builds its science fiction almost entirely inside a single house: small budget, large idea. Black humour and discomfort sit in the same scene; you notice what you are watching while you are laughing. The telling neither declares Robert a villain nor defends him, it only shows where a man gets to when nobody stops him. Patrik Karlson is in the lead.
