Life or Death

A man’s heart gives out. There is no medicine in the house. He sends his daughter to the pharmacy. The girl takes the medicine and sets off. The pharmacist notices something after she has gone. The mixture he made up is wrong. If it is taken it will kill. He goes straight to the police. Word reaches the chief of police in Cairo. A search begins across the city. All they are looking for is one child and the bottle she is carrying. Nobody knows the girl’s address. The clock is running. The story is built on that race. Youssef Wahby and Madiha Yousri appear in the ninety five minute film, an Egyptian production Kamal El Sheikh finished in 1954.
