Lovely Trash

The account is set after the elections of 2009. There had been demonstrations in the country. An elderly woman has one night ahead of her. In that night she has to clear her house. Things left by her family are in it. Some of them are politically dangerous. The woman cannot manage the job alone. Then the photographs in the frames come to life. Her dead husband begins to speak. So does her executed brother. Her two sons who died in the war join in as well. All of them tell her what to do. Shirin Yazdanbakhsh and Shahab Hosseini take the leads in Mohsen Amiryoussefi’s Iranian film of 2019.
