Madhuvidhu

Vishnu Aravind's film follows Amrutharaj, who wants to marry and keeps being refused. Only men live in his house, and the brides' families back away when they see the arrangement; things change when he meets Sneha. The humour comes from the house itself. Once the wedding preparations begin everyone in the family interferes and each creates a different crisis; the narrative uses that crowd as its source of comedy. Sharafudheen leads. The tone is light and there is no violence; it follows the family comedy pattern of Malayalam cinema. The narrative makes room for the woman's family too and leaves the decision with her. Who it's for: those who like Malayalam family comedy. Who it's not for: viewers expecting an original narrative; the film is a familiar wedding story.
