What Malos hábitos Is About
The film sets three women side by side and looks at what each of them does with food. Matilde is a nun convinced that faith moves mountains and secretly begins a mystical fast to stop what she takes for a second great flood. Elena is thin and fashionable and ashamed of her daughter Linda's weight, ready to do anything so the child will look like a little princess on the day of her first communion. Simon Bross traces the link between belief, control and the body without ever raising his voice. A Mexican film willing to be uncomfortable rather than instructive.
