Masquerade in Vienna

A drawing is published in a Vienna newspaper. The drawing is thought indecent. If the woman in it is recognised there will be trouble. She is a doctor’s wife. The artist who made it is called Heideneck. Heideneck wants to protect her. When he is asked, he gives an invented name. That name turns out to exist. It belongs to another woman. She is a respectable person. Now she is pulled into the affair. The misunderstandings grow. Balls, invitations and gossip follow one another. Paula Wessely, Anton Walbrook and Olga Tschechowa appear in the ninety minute film, an Austrian production Willi Forst finished in 1934.
