Me and Kaminski

Sebastian Zöllner is a journalist who thinks of himself as an art critic and is not much good at anything. He has a grand plan: a book about Manuel Kaminski, an old painter living in seclusion in the Alps who is said to be blind. All the book needs in order to sell is for Kaminski to die soon. He takes the man out of his house and onto a journey. On the road he works out that Kaminski is not as frail, as naive, or as blind as he looks, and that the one being used is Zöllner. Wolfgang Becker directs, adapting Daniel Kehlmann's novel, with Daniel Brühl as Zöllner and Jesper Christensen as Kaminski; Geraldine Chaplin and Denis Lavant are also in the cast. Two hours and four minutes.
