Meteo

Eckermann is a man who understands computers and wants nothing in particular. He spends most of his days in the bathtub, holding imaginary conversations with cartoon characters. His friends want to use his skill to take money from a gambling house. Eckermann works out the plan and returns to his tub. At some point a Czech refugee woman joins him in the water. The film does not build this as suspense; its subject is indifference itself. That it was shot in Hungary in 1990, as the order was changing, sets the tone as well. Károly Eperjes and László Kistamás appear in András Monory Mész’s ninety eight minute Hungarian film, completed in 1990.
