More Than Blue

K has a terminal illness and does not tell Cream. They have been together since childhood, they share a house, everyone assumes they are a couple, and what is between them has never been named. There is one thing K wants to do with the time left: find Cream a suitable husband so she will not be alone once he is gone. Won Tae-yeon works the known rules of Korean melodrama: illness, sacrifice, unspoken love. The film's choice is not to break those shapes but to carry them all the way. The emotional steering is open and deliberate. Kwon Sang-woo plays K and Lee Bo-young plays Cream. Who it's for: Viewers who like Korean melodrama, love stories built on illness, and films that openly set out to make you cry. Who it's not for: The plot is predictable from the start and the characters' decisions run on feeling rather than logic. It is too much if you want restraint.
