Fate

Sultan has lost her husband. The loneliness weighs on her. She wants to marry again. Her son is against it. Her daughter thinks it is too soon. Sultan does not go back on her decision. Standing on her own, though, is hard. In the town little is open to a woman by herself. She looks for a way all the same. She turns her house into a boarding house. She takes a stall at the market. She goes into work that men have always done. In doing it she breaks the usual rules. Other women in the town watch her, and they begin to look for their own way. The film is about that solidarity. Nur Sürer, Aslıhan Gürbüz, Osman Sonant and Şerif Erol appear in the ninety minute film, a Turkish production Nadim Güç finished in 2024.
