What Music Within Is About
After a confrontation at the door of the university where he wanted to study public speaking, Richard Pimentel joins the army and comes back from Vietnam having lost almost all of his hearing. The circle he falls into includes Art Honeyman, who has cerebral palsy, and an alcoholic veteran, and it is there that Pimentel discovers what he can do as a speaker and turns towards disability advocacy. The part the record never mentions is the important one: his work fed into the shaping of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
