My Sin

A woman is living in Panama. She makes her living through sex work. One day she shoots the man who controls her. She is charged with murder. A lawyer defends her at the trial. He wins the case. He also fronts her money for a fresh start. She goes to New York. There she builds a business under a new name. It grows and she becomes known. She meets a wealthy man. He knows nothing of her past. Then someone from that past turns up. Everything could come out. Tallulah Bankhead and Fredric March appear in the eighty minute film, an American production George Abbott finished in 1931.
