What Nail Polish Is About
A prominent defence lawyer is promised a political appointment if he can win the case of a man accused of killing two migrant children. The accused is a decorated former army officer. What surfaces in the courtroom, though, turns out to be less a question of who did what than of who anyone is, and the film spends a while persuading the audience it is watching one kind of picture before moving somewhere else. Bugs Bhargava Krishna builds the tension by lowering his voice rather than raising it, and the coldness of procedure is the genuinely unsettling part. Arjun Rampal and Manav Kaul play opposite each other.
