What Nicht ganz Koscher Is About
Ben agrees to fly to Alexandria in order to escape his family in Jerusalem and their constant matchmaking. The reason is this: a community that was once among the largest Jewish communities in the world has shrunk so far that it cannot find the tenth man needed for Passover. Ben misses his flight, is then thrown off a bus in the Sinai desert, and meets a grumpy Bedouin looking for his lost camel; the two men are stuck with each other. Stefan Sarazin and Peter Keller directed together, building the acquaintance of two people in a landscape where three religions live side by side as comedy, and turning nobody into a caricature. Luzer Twersky plays Ben and Hitham Omari the Bedouin. It runs a hundred and twenty minutes and dates from 2022.
