Gijsje wants to get pregnant and to rise at the advertising agency where she works, and tries to keep everything under control. Her older sister Marjolein is married with three children and has just lost her job as a journalist; her new ambition is to become one of the mothers at the school gate. Their mother Loes is in serious debt, having mortgaged the beautiful family house she lives in more than once.
