What No Way to Treat a Lady Is About

A strangler works his way through the women of New York, arriving at each door in a different costume: a priest one week, a plumber the next. Between killings he telephones the detective assigned to the case, and the two men settle into something uncomfortably close to friendship. Morris Brummel has enough trouble already, since his mother would rather he had become a doctor like his brother. Then a witness named Kate Palmer walks into the investigation and into his life. Rod Steiger changes faces for sport while Jack Smight keeps the thriller and the comedy in the same frame.
