What Octonauts and the Caves of Sac Actun Is About
The Octonauts get a call for help: a small octopus has been carried to the wrong place and needs to get back to the Caribbean. The way back runs through the Sac Actun caves in Mexico. These caves are full of water, long and narrow; it is easy to get lost inside and there is no air. The crew goes in and starts having trouble finding their way. Sac Actun is a real place: on Mexico's Yucatán peninsula, the longest known underwater cave system in the world. That is what the series does anyway; every episode takes a real sea creature or a real piece of geography and builds the adventure on top of it. This seventy-two minute special is the same. Blair Simmons directed. It is aimed at small children, but the information part is not made up.
