Svensson is a wealthy and ageing man. He is loud and full of talk. He has just lost his wife. The funeral was out of the ordinary. He is now setting off for Spain. His young mistress is with him. But the journey falters at the start. A lawyer turns up at the door with a paternity suit. It is claimed that he has a daughter he knows nothing about. His new chauffeur is a young undertaker. The man sets off in his car to face the woman making the claim. That journey turns his life and his companion’s upside down.
