Our Lovely Pig Slaughter

The account is set on a farm. Every year the family holds a pig slaughter. Karel looks forward to the day. It is the one day the family comes together. There is eating, drinking and arguing. But this year things do not go smoothly. The butcher’s cartridges have got damp and he says nothing. The grandfather cannot bring himself to say something either. He knows this will be the last such slaughter. Karel lost his wife not long ago. His daughter Lucie is low after the end of her marriage. His grandson Dušík runs off from the house. His parents are arguing over whether he should watch. Karel Martinec and Miloslav Čížek take the leads in Adam Martinec’s Czech and Slovak coproduction of 2024.
