What Pack Up Your Troubles Is About
In 1917 Stan and Ollie are drafted, and at the front they make friends with a soldier named Eddie Smith. When Eddie is killed, the pair set off for New York to deliver his small daughter to her rightful family, without having considered how many people in that city are called Smith. It is Laurel and Hardy's second feature, and it shows the seam between short film logic and a full length structure. The record credits only Ray McCarey; George Marshall co-directed it.
