Pari

Babak, an Iranian student, does not come to meet his parents at the airport in Athens. Pari and her older husband are abroad for the first time and are in no way prepared to look for their son in a foreign and intimidating city. Everything they try in order to find a trace comes to nothing and they soon reach a dead end. Though returning to Iran seems the only option, Pari will not give up the search; following her son’s steps into the darkest corners of the city, she also learns how far her own strength reaches. The film moves from a story of searching into the story of a woman herself. Melika Foroutan plays the lead in Siamak Etemadi’s hundred and one minute film, completed in 2020.
