Party Over

Breno Wanderley comes back early from his holiday. The reason is the murder of a young French tourist. He is called back to investigate it. But the investigation puts him face to face with his own past. He cannot get away from it. The account runs between Ash Wednesday and the Sunday after Carnival. Over those days Breno tries to unravel the killing. In his son, who carries the same name, he sees a chance to remake himself. The city is a broken and sullen one. Irandhir Santos and Hermila Guedes take the leads, with Suzy Lopes and Guga Patriota also in the cast, in Hilton Lacerda’s Brazilian film of 2019.
