Penguin's Memory: A Tale of Happiness

Every character in this film is a penguin. But the story it tells is not a children’s story. A soldier named Mike comes back from the war. He was wounded at the front and discharged. Close friends of his did not come back at all. Once home he cannot get on with anyone. His family and the people he knows do not understand him. After a while he leaves the town. He starts wandering the country without aim. In that period he fights for money. In the end he stops in a small town. He takes a job at the library there. He meets Jill, who wants to be a singer. A slow closeness grows between them. The production came out of an advertising character. Koichi Sato and Hiromi Tsuru give voices in the hundred and two minute film, a Japanese production Shunji Kimura finished in 1985.
