People Out There

Jan is a young man in his twenties. He lives in a neglected district of the city. He goes about with his friend Cracker. The two get mixed up in petty crime. No other road seems open in that neighbourhood. Both of them want a better life. One day he meets Sabina. The girl comes from the wealthy set of the city. Jan tries to get into that circle. He is looking for a fresh start. What he meets there is contempt. He does not find the closeness he wanted. The rules of the rich turn out to be harder still. His hopes are broken one by one. In the end he sees that he can count on himself alone. Ilya Scherbakov and Viktoria Kondratenko appear in the ninety minute film, a Latvian production Aik Karapetian finished in 2012.
