Playing in the Dark

The account is set in Brazil under military rule. A man is organised against the government. He is wounded in a gunfight with the police. He gets away but cannot stay in the open. They hide him in a flat. The flat belongs to someone else. The man cannot go outside. The curtains are drawn and the lights are low. The days pass between four walls. There is a young woman in the flat. The two of them slowly begin to talk. Something grows between them. She changes the way he sees things. The film tells that period from inside a closed room. The danger outside never lets up. Leonardo Medeiros and Debora Duboc appear in the one hundred seven minute film, a Brazilian production Toni Venturi finished in 2004.
