A romantic comedy built on wedding season. Ben and Alice are friends from university. Both are single and the number of weddings they have to attend that summer is enormous. They make a deal: they will go to all of them together, so neither will appear alone or be seated with strangers. The film moves through those weddings in order, and their relationship shifts a little at each one. The difference between the characters is clear. Alice has come out of a break-up, is angry and honest; Ben is looking for a perfect partner and finds a fault in everyone. The film's real criticism is aimed at his attitude. The narrative follows the genre's template, but the level of the dialogue is kept high and the wedding speeches are the best passages. Maya Erskine plays Alice and Jack Quaid plays Ben. Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer directed and wrote it. An enjoyable choice for anyone who likes romantic comedy and stories that move from friendship to a relationship. For a viewer looking for surprises, the film follows the genre's known road; its difference is not in the story but in the performances and the lines.
