Prison Break: The Final Break

A feature that sits between a television series' last episode and its close. Michael and Sara marry. As soon as the ceremony ends Sara is arrested; the charge is a woman's death and the evidence points at her. She is sent to a women's prison in Miami, where it emerges that she is pregnant. Michael's plan is clear: get her out. But this time he is not the one inside, and he has to work out the prison's rules from outside. The prison sections return to the pattern of the series' first season: the hierarchy of the block, bargaining with guards, air shafts and timing. It was made for television but never aired as an episode; it went straight to video and fills a gap in the series' fourth season. Wentworth Miller plays Michael, Sarah Wayne Callies plays Sara and Dominic Purcell plays Lincoln. Kevin Hooks directed; he had also directed episodes of the series. It runs about ninety minutes and the narrative follows a single line. A piece that completes the ending for anyone who watched the series. For a viewer who does not know it, the film introduces no character and means nothing on its own.
