Teresa is a withdrawn designer living in the city. She travels with her husband to her family's farm. The workers there have lived on the same land for years and are waiting to be evicted. One day the revolt breaks out. Teresa runs to an armoured car and locks the doors. Outside are angry people; inside there is limited fuel and air. The two sides look at each other through the glass and the hours pass. Daniel Bandeira compresses the land question into a single space. The narrative does not take a side but puts the viewer in an uncomfortable position by placing them inside the car: we share Teresa's fear, while those outside carry the justice of the case. Malu Galli plays Teresa and the film takes place almost entirely on her face. The tension comes not from action but from how long the glass will hold. Who it's for: Viewers who like Brazilian cinema, single-location thrillers, and class-based narrative. Who it's not for: The violence is harsh and the final section is very bloody. The narrative also reaches no resolution; it deliberately leaves you uneasy.
