Queen

At an engineering college, the first intake of the mechanical department is entirely male. In the second year a young woman joins, becomes the only woman in the group, and draws all their attention; they start calling her the queen. As the campus story goes on, the film turns around an assault and becomes a thriller and a courtroom drama. Dijo Jose Antony directed, from a script by Sharis Mohammed and Jebin Joseph Antony, and it opened on 12 January 2018. Saniya Iyappan, who plays Chinnu, won the Filmfare award for best female debut in the South for it. The idea came out of footage of an Onam celebration at a Kerala engineering college in 2015 that went around the internet.
