Dimas Djayadiningrat's 2007 Indonesian film follows Jojo, out of work. He starts at an escort company and the job turns out to be other than he expected. The film builds the profession as comedy. The training sections and client scenes are broad; the narrative changes tone when Jojo falls for a medical student and takes up the lie becoming impossible to carry. Tora Sudiro and Lukman Sardi lead. The visual style imitates the films of the seventies. The tone is light and the sex kept to suggestion. Who it's for: those who like Indonesian comedy. Who it's not for: viewers expecting the subject treated seriously; the production is comedy throughout.
