Rage

A seventeen year old gunman, carried away by rage, abducts his own boss. Years ago the man covered over his identity, gained a respectable place and became part of the establishment. The youth takes him to a huge abandoned steel mill, and the two enter a reckoning that runs past twenty hours. What the account is interested in is less the crime than the youth facing the man he once took for a hero. The film looks hard at crime and relations of power in the Serbia of the nineties and clears no side of anything. Lazar Ristovski plays the lead in Slobodan Skerlic’s ninety seven minute Serbian film, completed in 1997.
