Raja

Raja is a petty thief. He plans a robbery at a temple. The job goes wrong. Fleeing, he gets into Anjali’s house. He hides there. As time passes he stays on in the house. Anjali sings. She is trying to make a way for herself with her voice. Raja begins quietly supporting her. That support changes him as well. Anjali’s mother dies. The girl meets her father. He accepts her as his daughter. But he has to bring her into the house as a maid. The film puts that injustice at its centre. Venkatesh and Soundarya appear in the one hundred sixty six minute film, an Indian production Muppalaneni Shiva finished in 1999.
