Soo-jin leaves hospital. She had an accident and lost her memory; she does not remember what happened. Her husband Ji-hoon takes her home and tells her everything: how they met, where they live, who the neighbours are. Soo-jin cannot verify any of it. Then something begins. Things that have not happened yet appear before her; she sees a woman fall, and the next day that woman falls. Soo-jin trusts what she sees. Then she sees something about her husband. Now she does not know who is telling the truth. Seo Yu-min writes and directs. Seo Yea-ji plays Soo-jin and Kim Kang-woo plays Ji-hoon. It is a Korean production. The tension it builds is unreliable perception; the viewer holds the same information as the character and cannot test what is seen. Its form rests on a game with time; the images of the future and the present run through one another. The narrative rearranges the whole premise in its last section and the earlier scenes take on another meaning. Seo Yea-ji was known for television at the time and this was her first major leading part in cinema. The matter it treats is who holds a memory; the narrative builds it as a matter inside a family. Its limit is structure; the explanation in the last section is long and the turn will feel strained to some. Another limit is consistency; some details of the premise do not settle in retrospect. Who it is for: viewers who like Korean thrillers and games with structure. Who it is not for: the turn is strained, the middle slow, and the plot tangled.
