What Red Soil Is About
After a fatal incident in her emergency room, the nurse Nour is moved sideways and takes over the infirmary at the chemical plant where her father has worked for nearly thirty years. Once she starts running routine check-ups she notices the gaps in the records and the way the workers step around the subject, and then a journalist begins asking about waste nobody has declared. Her father Slimane is the staff representative who has kept the plant standing by accommodating management, so whatever she does lands on him. Farid Bentoumi drew on real French red mud scandals.
