What Round Trip Is About
Lucia, from a poor Mexican town, decides to cross the border to find the father of her son, from whom she has heard nothing for years. On the road she meets Fernanda, a woman from a well off family with an unfinished account to settle with her former boyfriend, and willing to travel hundreds of miles to settle it. The two women come from entirely different places but walk the same road hoping for the same thing. The film uses the journey as a pretext for the two of them getting to know each other and themselves. Teresa Ruiz plays the lead in Gerardo Tort’s hundred and two minute Mexican film, completed in 2009.
