A sudden rift opens in the everyday life of a family of three: one of the sons has tried to take his own life. The film tells the short and sharpest stretch of time that follows; for twenty four hours his mother and his brother try to protect him both from himself and from a system they find hostile. The account does not explain the event, offers no diagnosis and gives no lesson; it shows only how people trying to save someone they love get through that day. It rests on what the director lived through himself, and he plays the leading role as well. Juraj Lerotic’s hundred and two minute Croatian film was completed in 2023.
