Sisters

Three sisters live in Lyon in the seventies. Sibylle, Corinne and Georgette share everything. All three grow up with their Italian mother. Sibylle is the only blonde in the family and feels she does not resemble them. The only one she resembles is the father who left them. Because of that she counts herself outside the family. What she dreams of is meeting her French father one day. The film builds childhood as an account looked back on. Growing up like a stranger inside a family sits at the centre of the story. Amira Casar and Sylvie Testud take the leads, with Lubna Azabal also in the cast. Éléonore Faucher’s hundred and seven minute French film was completed in 2009.
