What Son Ders: Aşk ve Üniversite Is About
Hakan Aymaz, one of the socialist students of the 1970s, fled to Sweden when a warrant was issued for him. Years later he returns to Turkey under the name Saffet Ercan and starts teaching at a university; he is an unassuming lecturer who opens his first class by saying that nobody here needs a lesson from him. As the students come to notice him the classroom turns into something else entirely, and the life of a young man named Ulaş intersects strangely with the past their teacher is hiding. The ninety nine minute film, made jointly by Iraz Okumuş and Mustafa Uğur Yağcıoğlu, opened on 8 February 2008. Ferhan Şensoy plays Saffet Hoca, with Kaan Urgancıoğlu, Ekin Türkmen, Ece Uslu and Ege Aydan in the cast.
