What Stray Dogs Is About
A group of hunters sets out. Where they go is an abandoned town in Central Asia. Nobody is left in the town. Only the dogs have stayed behind. Left without owners the animals have gone wild. They move about in packs. The hunters’ job is to clear those packs. The town is empty and silent. But in the town things turn around. The hunters find themselves being hunted. In the empty streets there is little cover. As night comes on the situation gets worse. The account runs as a horror and a thriller. Getting out of the town is not easy either. Mikhail Zhigalov and Yuriy Kuznetsov take the leads, with Andrey Krasko also in the cast, in Dmitriy Svetozarov’s Soviet film of 1989.
