Rodrigo is a solitary teenager. In the closed world he shares with his mother he is comfortable and in charge. That order breaks when she brings her new partner home to live with them. Rodrigo has to decide whether he will fight to keep his place. If he does, he will spoil the happiness of the person he loves most. The film shows jealousy not as wickedness but as a child losing ground. The shares in a household of three being divided again is the real subject. The account moves without raising its voice, through everyday detail. Adrián Rossi and Sophie Alexander-Katz appear in Rodrigo Ruiz Patterson’s eighty five minute Mexican film, completed in 2020.
