What Sunday Holiday Is About
Amal moves from Thalassery to Kochi, and his view of life slowly changes through the two men he meets in the shared house where he lives. Running alongside is the story of an eager young man trying to make his first film and the well known director he runs into by chance. Jis Joy’s Malayalam film is not looking for big events; it uses comedy for everyday friendships, small humiliations, and the business of getting used to a new city. Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali star. The tension between dreaming of cinema and having to earn a living sits under all of it.
