Super Citizen Ko

At the centre of the account is an old man. Years ago the man was a political prisoner. Those held with him were secretly executed. Where they were buried was never made known. In his old age the man decides to find out. The search takes him through the city. He is forced to remember his past. In the same period Taiwan is changing too. The country enters a turbulent path towards democracy. The two stories move forward side by side. The account is built on a reckoning with the past. Ko I-chen and Su Ming-ming take the leads, with Lin Yang and Hsing Feng also in the cast, in Wan Jen’s Taiwanese film of 1995.
