Michał's marriage is over. His wife is mentally ill and he will not accept his seven-year-old daughter living with her. The court awards custody to the mother. Rather than wait on the decision, Michał takes the child and runs. What follows is life on the run: moving constantly, a false name, no school, and no way to explain to the child why they live like this. He believes he is a good father, and he is also taking his daughter's life away from her. Maciej Ślesicki directs this Polish film of a hundred and ten minutes, with Bogusław Linda as Michał, Dorota Segda as his wife and Krystyna Janda in the cast. On release it became one of the films that opened the argument about custody law in Poland.
