Temmink: The Ultimate Fight

The film is set in the near future. There is a place called the Arena. A certain kind of man is admitted to it. Those admitted are people who no longer want to live. They are said to carry an aggression gene. In the Arena the fights are to the death. The bouts are broadcast on a sports channel. The broadcast is run as a commercial business. Temmink is one of these fighters. He wins his first bout. He makes a friend in the same place. He also falls for a woman. He becomes a name known across the country. His wish to die slowly passes. But there is no way back out of the Arena. Jack Wouterse and Jacob Derwig take the leads in Boris Paval Conen’s Dutch film of 1998.
