Thazhvaram

Balan arrives in a distant valley. He carries little with him. He explains himself to nobody. There is a small settlement in the valley. The law rarely reaches this far. Balan is looking for someone here. The man he wants was once his friend. The man is called Raju. Years ago he killed Balan’s wife. Balan has been after him since that day. The people in the valley do not know him. He tells nobody why he came. He learns the houses and the paths of the valley one by one. He slowly comes to know the place and the people in it. The meeting becomes unavoidable. The film is built like a western. Mohanlal and Salim Ghouse appear in the one hundred thirty minute film, an Indian production Bharathan finished in 1990.
