The Adventurer

Toomas Nipernaadi roams the countryside. He goes from village to village. What he is looking for is the woman of his dreams. He wears a bedraggled white suit. But he pays generously for any lodging he takes. In one place he even buys a farm. He has a way with words. He tells wild stories about himself. With those stories he charms the people he meets. Women find him appealing and the men are entertained. Then he moves on to the next place. The account is put together as a road story. The country landscape is the fixed ground of the film. Tõnu Kark and Viire Valdma take the leads in Kaljo Kiisk’s Soviet film of 1983.
