What The Boy Turns Man Is About
Ran is in his last year at school. He and his classmates are about to finish. A few days are left before them. Everyone is thinking about what comes next. The choice of work matters as much as the choice of a life. Ran moves about in the middle of those questions. He meets different people. Three women come to matter for him. His classmate Mariana stands for family life. The order she offers is a clear one. The singer Neli shows another kind of life. The road she offers is loose and uncertain. Tintyava works at the café nearby. The two of them barely speak. The looks between them sit at the centre of the film. Nevena Kokanova and Filip Trifonov appear in the ninety two minute film, a Bulgarian production Lyudmil Kirkov finished in 1972.
