The 1980s. Chance Marquis is the son of a military family and starts at a new school in Europe because of his father's posting. He wears thick glasses, dresses oddly and does not hide himself, and the school bully picks him out immediately. Chance finds help at the two far ends of the school: on one side a drag queen who performs at a nightclub, on the other Levi, the star of the school's football team. Russell P. Marleau's film was shot in Belgium. It uses the music, the clothes and the school-comedy shape of the eighties. But its hero does not hide and apologises to nobody, and the film does not try to correct him or to make him pitiable.
