The Enchanted Cottage

Oliver is a soldier back from the world war. He was wounded in the fighting. Marks were left on his face and his body. He came back wounded inside as well. His fiancee leaves him. Oliver draws away from people. He withdraws to a small cottage in the country. There he meets a woman named Laura. Laura too thinks of herself as someone nobody admires. The two understand each other. Love grows between them. They decide to marry. They spend their wedding night in that cottage. The house is an old honeymoon cottage. Unexpected things happen that night. The film says that beauty changes with the eye that looks. Richard Barthelmess and May McAvoy appear in the eighty minute film, an American production John S. Robertson finished in 1924.
